Back with goats

Goat pics
So, finals and papers and grading have all come and gone, and we are just now starting to catch up a little bit on odds and ends, and sleep (sort of), and are starting to unpack into our new (as of two months ago) space.  The biggest excitement is that the goats are back -- Mike put up a fence and we borrowed a high-tunnel-like structure from the farm campus that used to hold chickens (but is free for the winter), and we brought them over to our backyard about a month ago.

We borrowed a buck from Ohio, and hope to have goat babies in the spring (to milk the mama goats in the fall for my dairy class next year).  We are also hosting the two chickens and one rooster from the farm campus for winter.  So we're starting to get back in the swing of things (a little bit).

Work pics
Meanwhile, a few more dairy class pictures for you, from a field trip to a milk bottling plant...

I am also somehow the adviser of my program's fermentation club (basically they needed someone to sign things occasionally)... so got to go to a sauerkraut/sauerruben/kimchi making workshop...)

Kiddo pics
And in kiddo news, Li'el is army-crawling and Eytan is somersaulting and has all sorts of fancy language things going on.

Here are both in a funny shopping cart at Lowe's...

This one probably accurately reflects the speed at which they move...

And we went to NY for Thanksgiving, which means some nice kid pics from great-George...

Foot pics
Last but not least, here are a couple where you can see my fancy crutches/boot for the broken foot (which is mostly better by now!)

That's about it from here.  We head to Ohio for a couple of days this weekend to meet up with some Minnesota friends who are now living in Indiana... and other than that just home for down time for a few more days.  The goal is to reboot a little bit, as we all have 10 days off of school, and get a couple of things (like the house) in order enough so that we can streamline better in the spring... More to come (I hope) in 2014.
