Here goes.
First, (last spring's) get-togethers (without pictures):
March: meet-up at a water park hotel place in Ohio with Josh and Rachel and Tayva and Micah -- great company, weird water park, worth a try but not a return trip :).
early April: quick visit from old friends Gretchen and Alice and Edith -- with lots of goat time included.
late April: end-of-Passover visit from Safta and Rafi -- we had planned to go to NY for seders but ended up moving instead and weren't able to manage both, so they came to us for a couple days after.
This is how we moved the goats and their house (we only moved 2 miles away so it worked, but...)
At the new place -- it's actually a better fit for us, so maybe worth the effort of moving? Older simpler house, more carpeted for falling kids, better grass for goats...
And for Li'el's birthday in April, she really really really wanted to go to the Science Center in Pittsburgh, where there's a cool trampoline to jump on. So we did.
In early summer we hosted some friends from the kids' school to our house...
And then later in June, I went to a conference in Toronto (by myself!) and Saba and Safta came to keep Mike and the kids company. It was nice, for about a day, to get a little extra sleep, but I was antsy by day 2 to be back home. (photos courtesy of Saba and Safta)
And then we spent most of the summer back in Washington state. Still ongoing grant work for me, and visiting time for all of us. But it was probably the first time the kids had a little bit of a bumpier transition being transplanted across the country for 6 weeks. And also the first time since we moved to Pittsburgh that Mike and I left there without feeling like we needed to move back asap. We still like living there, but it's probably because for the first time, there's something we really like in Pittsburgh too (the kids' school -- they like it, we like it, good all around), which makes it all feel like more of a toss-up. So... we'll sit tight for a little and see what evolves.

Hiking with the Novick/Kagans (who I started babysitting for when their kids were our kids' age now (ish) and who happened to be visiting the area while we were there!) (photo courtesy of Gina)
I also had students come from Pittsburgh to do a week-long class on orchards... So we went hiking with them too.

And visited interesting tree fruit places
And an end-of-week visit to the lake
Meanwhile, perhaps you can tell from the picture above, we're expecting one last Lehrer-Cochran baby, in early November. Will keep you posted.
For now, more pictures of Oren, Li'el, and Eytan.

In August we left WA and went to NY for Great-George's 99 1/2th birthday party. And then we had the three weeks of no daycare for kids + Mike starting school + me starting school soon thereafter. It's always a complicated time of year. So this year we tried...
One week of me and the kids staying at Saba and Safta's house...

With an airplane ride home on Eytan's 5th birthday (so they let him see the cockpit).

Plus one week back in Pittsburgh with Safta visiting...

Plus another week in Pittsburgh with Nana and Pa visiting...

Which included the creation of many sets of fairy wings
And then everyone went home, and Frosty had a baby goat.
The new baby's name is probably Finn, named an F-name after Falkor, who had a (stillborn) baby a couple weeks earlier, and then she actually died too... presumably related but we don't know for sure.

And then everyone started school again, with it's own set of bumps, but all doing pretty well by now. And everyone's now at the same place for daycare so it's just one dropoff, thankfully.
So, I'll try to post again before another four months goes by :)
